Two-year-old Brownie is a Pitbull-Doberman mix who prefers to be neither seen nor heard if he can help it.
In fact, he loves nothing better than spending most of his days either hiding in bushes or sprawled out under the car when he can spy on the world outside without being detected himself.
According to Vinadha, Brownie is reserved by nature but an intelligent, brave and loving dog. “Of course, he can get a little jealous of his ‘sister’ Blackie whom he shares his home with.”
He can be especially chirpy and chatty when he wants to. “He likes to ‘talk’ to me in the mornings when he sees me. He’ll also happily give a ‘high 5’ if I ask.
“And when he feels a sudden burst of excitement, he’ll play with my slipper! He doesn’t chew on it or destroy it – just throws it around and chases after it,” Vinadha says.
Brownie’s favourite meal is chewy chicken bones with rice. “But forget feeding him chicken feet as he dislikes it immensely,” Vinadha says.
She also says that Brownie is a very fierce dog and extremely unfriendly towards everybody he meets. He is obviously the kind of handsome boy best admired from afar. “Do not talk to or look at him when you visit, no matter how tempting it may be.”
But for all his fierce ways, Brownie is terrified of lightning and thunder just like most other dogs, and will cower in a corner until the chaos is over.
