Don’t even think of grabbing your morning cup of coffee unless you’ve spent a considerable amount of time with Tigger, gently caressing his head until he’s had his fill.
It’s a morning routine Tim and Rachel have had to get used to after adopting Tigger.
“He’s needy in the mornings as he’ll need at least 10-15 minutes of head rubs before allowing us to prepare our breakfast, hence we wake up a few minutes earlier every day just to give him what he wants,” Rachel says.

A naughty, cheeky and curious one-year-old, Tigger is super smart too. “He knows how to open sliding doors by looking for small gaps on the side,” Rachel says, adding that he’s quite a brave heart too as he’s already caught his fair share of bugs and lizards who’ve tried entering the house.
When he’s taking a breather, Tigger likes to sit back and scrutinise the other cats prancing around outside his home.

When it comes to his diet, Tigger will eat his meals without complaint on two conditions – it must be wet food, preferably tuna-flavoured, and there cannot be even the slightest trace of turkey. It’s a flavour profile he absolutely abhors.
“He knows how to sit before his meal too,” Rachel says with much pride.
While generally an easy going, happy-go-lucky feline, Tigger detests the sight of the vacuum cleaner and mop for some reason.

He’s also not too keen on greeting strangers who drop by at his house occasionally and neither does he enjoy taking a bath. He thinks he smells just fine the way he is.
“He is fierce when he needs to be but he is mostly quite nonchalant about everything else as he goes about his day,” Rachel says.
At night, Tigger loves to sleep on his pillow, cuddled up with his alpaca soft toy.
